Call up AccessAdmMaint.exe or perform Start/Programs/Cognos BI/Access Manager Batch Maintenance.
Specify the namespace to make modifications to.
Enter a valid Administrator ID.
Enter password.
Select your input file : NewClassFile.txt
Select the add User Class File radio button.
Select where to save the log file.
Click OK.

Once the processing is complete, a log file is generated in the specified location. Open this log file in a Notepad window to verify that no errors occurred. Each entry in the log specifies the input file's record number.

You may now also open Access Manager Administrator to view the entries in the tree structure of the GUI tool.

You can also use the Access Manager Batch Maintenance tool to automate the creation, configuration and modification of Users and User Classes in Access Manager. From this text file, you may also associate Databases, Signons and Models to the users, as well as assign permissions.

Cons:

-    Useful only when more # of user needs to be added

-    Couldn’t find the place holder for first name and last name & email, rest all look OK.

-    Adds the users in the main user folder, needs to moved to respective sub-folder after completion
