Outstanding reboot required

Unable to install Cognos Consolidation on a server or workstation.

When you start the installation it is aborted and gives you the following error message.

Error Message -

Setup cannot continue because of an outstanding reboot.

Resolving the problem

Delete the gsuninstall.flg file located in the user's temp directory.
Steps -
1. Find the user's environment variables for TEMP and TMP.
2. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Temp directory.
3. Find the gsuninstall.flg file and delete the file.
You can now install without rebooting.
